User interface
With a target audience likely to include users at all levels of computer literacy
it was essential to design a user interface offering clear content and intuitive navigation.
The volume of content behind this resource added to the challenge of keeping all content and
tools just a couple of clicks away without compromising the appearance of the website.
The members areas features full e-commerce capabilities. A trade account facilitates the placing of
paid advertisements into the website's classified directory. Online credit card processing
makes this a seamless, real time process.
Web Services
An XML data feed is used to augment the content of the local services directory. Data is
requested in real time allowing The Pets People to offer users a comprehensive database of
pet and animal related services throughout the UK.
Content Management
With such a comprehensive library of articles, guides and reviews a content management
system (CMS) is an absolute must. This feature allows the team behind The Pets People
to login to the website and add or edit articles. A perfect way to
keep your website fresh and up to date.
