How it works
Matren was designed to put web users, looking for local services, in touch with companies that could meet their needs, without demanding the hefty
fees that other, more established directories typically charge.
The challenge was to attract visitors to the Matren website, in a cost effective way, to ensure advertising costs would be affordable for local
businesses. This was achieved by investing in a long term search engine optimisation campaign which has paid dividends for advertisers for several
years.
Dynamic advert creation
Another vital part of keeping costs down was to automate the process of placing an advert into the directory. This was achieved by allowing clients
to register for an account on the website. From within the account area, the client could build their advert using an advanced editing tool,
once happy with their design the advert could be purchased online leaving the Matren team to concentrate on building new tools and services.
Online payment integration
The Matren website is integrated with the Protx payment gateway. Protx are an industry leading payment gateway and have successfully been taking
secure payments for Matren for several years.
